Toastmaster Mohsin Lodhi becomes Competent Communicator
December 09, 2009President of Islamabad Toastmasters Club, Toastmaster Mohsin Lodhi delivered his 10th project speech to become a Competent Communicator in the weekly meeting held at Lok Virsa.
Islamabad Toastmasters Club is a non-profit community based educational organization which provides an environment to improve public speaking and leadership skills. In the meeting held on December 8th, 2009, presiding officer, Toastmaster Mohsin Lodhi emphasized the importance of Communication and Public Speaking skills in his presidential address and also asked the guests for their introduction. There were several new guests present in the meeting.
Toastmaster of the evening, Toastmaster Ehsan ul Haq Abbasi gave a brief concept of the meeting format and invited the role players to explain their roles. Table Topics Master, Toastmaster Shahid Altaf Qureshi came up with a new idea. He gave a different object to each speaker and asked him to speak if he were the given objects. It was an interesting session and everyone enjoyed a lot. One of honorable guest, Mr. Abdul Wahid won the Best Table Topics Speaker award. His object was a green chilli.
In the prepared speeches, Toastmaster Naveed Zubair delivered his fifth project while Toastmaster Mohsin Lodhi delivered his 10th project to become a Competent Communicator. Toastmaster Naveed Zubair received The Best Speaker award. The Best Evaluator award was given to Distinguished Toastmaster Dr. Mazhar Jamil while the General Evaluator, Toastmaster Mohsin Lodhi won the Big 3 Award. He also received his CC ribbon.
The club meets every Tuesday at NICS Gate 5, Lok Virsa at 6:45 PM.
