A very successful and widely attended annual prepared speech contest of ITC, was held on Tuesday the 21st at ICMAP toastmasters club. Mr. Rauf khalid VC of NICS was the chief guest on the occasion. The second runner up position went to toastmaster Ahmed Shahnawaz, the first runner up slot was taken by Toastmaster Waqas Rajab, and the winner, and the 2011 ITC prepared speech champion award, was given to DTM AKbar Jan Marwat. The hundred and twenty fifth meeting of the toastmasters club was held in NICS Lok Virsa. The meeting was presided by the President of the club toastmaster Akbar Jan Marwat. The winners of the 3 segments of the program were:
1. Best table topic speaker: Umaid Khaled,
2. Best Prepared speaker: Sajjad Ahmed,
3. Best evaluator: Umaid Khaled ,
4. Big 3: Ahmed Jawad Gondal.
At the end of the meeting awards were distributed by the President, after which refreshments and tea was served to the members and guests.

Senior TM Nauman Faridi was the Contest Master and he conducted the contest with the help of three judges. Eight Toastmasters participated in the contest. They were all sent to a separate waiting room and called into the hall one by one. They were all given the same topic and each speaker had to speak for minimum one minute and maximum two and a half minutes. The new office-bearers of the Islamabad Toasmasters Club took oath on June 29 for a term of one year (July 2010- June 2011), says a press release.
A few days before elections of the new executive committee were held. According to a press release issued here Wednesday, the members of the club elected their new Vice President Memberships, Asim Husain.
